VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
This is one of six completely authentic 1930 boattail speedsters (original , original chassis, original engine, and even its original dual-throat Detroit Lubricator carburetor). It was bought in 1953 by George Jepsen, who restored it and was given one of the earliest Classic Car Club of America Senior badges (#5). It is estimated that there are roughly 300,000 miles on the car. Don Peterson (my father) purchased it in 1974 and drove it on many, many CCCA Caravans. On one such one-month trip, he drove in 48 states, putting on nearly 10,000 miles. It was then restored in 1998 and shown in the special boattail class at Pebble Beach. It then won its AACA Junior award, and scored 98 points in CCCA judging. It has been driven on several more CCCA CARavans, plus the Colorado Grand. Between 2017-2021, it received some major refurbishing and received its AACA Senior Grand National award, plus the AACA Joseph Parkin natonal award.
