VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
pfont sizefont faceProduced October 1939 and delivered to Springfield, Mass., where this black beauty was purchased by a resident of the state. Some 45 years of wear and tear later, it was purchased from the original owner in September 1984 by Robert Timms of Watertown, CT. He commenced restoration of the car and had the dash woodgraining was done by Bennie Estes of Sarasota, FL.in March 1986. For personal reasons, he sold the project car to his brother Gregg of Goshen, CT in 1993. Body work was started in December 1993, and the car was left in primer. The engine was rebuilt by Ray Linke in 1995. Gregg proceeded to have engine parts and the dash instrumentsrebuilt. However, Gregg's primary interest was Model T Ford's and by 25 he had lost interest in the Packard. I had been looking for a new car project and happened upon Gregg's sales advertisement in theFebruary 25 issue of Hemmings Motor News. To be continued./font/font
