VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
The history of 5687-1244 is unknown from 1956-1983/84, however, it is believed to have been sold new in California. Around 1983-84, the wife of a Long Beach, California police officer purchased the car for her husband, but he did not care much for the car, and did not own it very long, before selling it to Rufus Erwin of Dexter, MI in May 1984. Mr. Erwin flew to California to pick up the car, and drove it back, stopping at a Chrysler dealership to do some repairs along the way. Mr. Erwin put approximately 15,000 miles on the car before parking it in 1994, when it had approximately 102,056 miles on it. In 2021, Mr. Erwin installed a new gas tank, electric fuel pump, and rebuilt the carburetor, and was able to get the car up and running. The car was purchased by Matthew Furman on September 25, 2021.
