VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
Bought this car from the family of the second owner ( since 1953 ).
Previous owner got sick in 1965 and parked the car in his garage. Since that date the car never moved and stayed on the same place ever since.
After all these years the roof of the garage needed repair so the Packard was pulled out after putting some air in the tires. Since the family had no intention of restoring the car, it was up for sale. I found the add 1 hour after it was posted, last Sunday 10/24/2021. Went to see the car last Wednesday and brought her home the same day.
The Packard was parked in a small, non heated garage without any light coming in.
This explains the superb condition of the vinyl upholstery.
The exterior is in good condition but has some surface rust all over the car. Chrome parts are in a rather poor condition.
Mechanical wise, it gathered a lot off dust and rust on the surfaces but it all seems to be in a good shape.
The engine is not running at this time but is not blocked. Some off the intake and exhaust valves are blocked but not rock solid.
Further more is the Packard strictly original without any modifications what so ever. It came with the tool kit, spare wheel, owners manual ( in French ) etc.
First up is getting the engine to run and start from there on, auto box, brakes, tires....
