VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | Previous Owners: #1: Richard Warfel, Joliet, IL (4/55 to ?) #2: Unknown #3: Gary Unfried, Delta, PA (? to 12/2011) #4: Robert Blum, Havre deGrace, MD (12/2011-9/2021) In the space of one marathon day in late September 2021, I drove from Cleveland to Havre de Grace, MD, test drove and purchased the car, and then trailered it home. I immediately pressed her into service and she provided over 700 trouble-free miles until the snow started to fly in late November. The immediate plans for the upcoming driving season involve driving the car as much as possible and sharing with many people as are willing a first-hand experience of Torsion Level with an invitation to "sit on the bumper and count to ten..." Short term plans involve little more than ongoing maintenance and a concerted effort to preserve the existing original interior pieces. I would also like to repair the no longer functioning underseat heater, windshield washer and radio. Longer term goals may include exploring ways to improve the existing paint or a complete respray.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS: | Purchased with 70,900 miles on the clock, the car looks like what a well-tended used car should look like. With the exception of an unfortunate amateur repaint, she presents exactly the way the factory made her and with just enough wear "around the edges" to demonstrate years of honest use by thoughtful caretakers. As such no modifications are planned.
