INTERIOR DESCRIPTION: | Painted wood effect on dash and door trim. No radio installed. Both bench seats original wool broadcloth. Cloth roof liner original and in great shape. All windows roll open and close fairly easily. Other than the clock, all gauges are working. The shifting linkage is smooth and positive. Overall, the interior is excellent. | EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION: | A new but questionably professional paint job was done within the past 5 years. There is minor surface rust under the doors. All the chrome is in good shape excepting a piece or two on the front grill. The car has rear wheel fender skirts. All in all, the car is sharp looking but certainly under scrutiny it is clearly in 'good' condition.

VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | Purchased from Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, PA; a consignment dealer of old and classic cars. The car has had three owners: Mr. C. A. Bentz's wife, then sold to a Mr. Rider of Reading, PA. Upon his death, his son owned the car for the last 15 years. I purchased the car as a way to stay in close touch with my now grandson of 10 years old. He is mechanically minded and is fascinated by tractors, trucks and automobiles. This Packard will require just enough tinkering by us both to spend quality time together where the subjects of life and mathematics and science will share the stage with automobile mechanics and design. I have always liked the post war period of car building in this country so this Packard and maybe another will meet my needs.
