PROJECT STATUS:
The car was purchased new by Edith Chase in Waterbury, CT, and passed to her employee/chauffeur John Orintas when she died in 1971. John's son Bob inherited the car when John died and the car was purchased from Bob Oritas by John and Jennifer Maxson in 2003. Edith Chase's summer estate in Litchfield, CT, where the car was kept, is now Topsmeade State Forest.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
The engine rebuild was botched and a different block was rebuilt and installed in the car. Otherwise, there have been no modifications. The car was repainted (same colors) by the second owner and the current owner repainted the fenders (same color) and installed a new top.
