VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | Four owner car now including myself. Completely original with around around 35,000-36,000 original miles; originally from Mt. Pleasant, MI. Meticulous oil change and service records scribbled on the owner's manual starting in 1954 all the way until 1987. Even still has old Quaker State stickers in the door jamb. Second owner had parked it somewhere for an unknown amount of time after 2004 until a good friend of mine came along and bought it in January of 2023. He got it running and driving with minimal work and put some miles on it back and forth to work and local car shows all throughout the summer of '23. Eventually wanted more space in his garage for his family and other projects, ended up selling it off to me. He has a YouTube channel with a video where he talks about the car after recently acquiring it in 2023 right here. Over almost a year of ownership currently writing, it's been a fantastic car. So far, I have replaced a brake hose, tail light bulbs, front shocks, touched up the front wheel bearings, and general maintenance. I have a ton of future plans including extensive rust repair with paint matching, going back to the original wheels, refreshing the engine from issues with oil consumption/leaks, overall suspension work mainly around bushings and rear shocks, pinion seal for the differential, and other small odds and ends to tie it together. The overall goal is to keep the car bone stock original, just improved. | ||||
