VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | Delivered new to Marley Motors, 1776 Post Road, Hillsgrove (Warwick), Rhode Island. Car was a special order and was owned by Robert Lippit Knight. The Knight family was prominent in textiles and created the Fruit of the Loom brand in the 1800s. Later descendents were active in politics and public service. The car was sold around 1992 to a Dr. Lippmann in suburban Minneapolis. He continued to conserve the car's originality, while enjoying it in the summers with his family at their vacation home in Wisconsin. As of its purchase by me in 2025, it only needs new tires and a rebuilt Treadle-Vac to be fully roadworthy. | ||||
