VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | I do not know much of the car's history preceding the recent years. I think it was brought over in the 90's in similar condition to its current condition by T. Ullman, who had some welding work done on it. Ullman later ended up with Alzheimer's and his entire collection ended up being auctioned off one car at a time. 2021 Auction Page, in Swedish but plenty of photos. After the auction it ended up in the same horde of cars as 5699-1001 was in. In late 2022 both 5699-1210 and 5699-1001 were purchased together by the current owner of 5699-1001 in Varberg, Sweden. I was offered to buy it at the time and agreed as I figured it's not a common opportunity. Now after three years of it being used as a frame of reference for 5699-1001 (and unfortunately being the donor for a few parts) it is mine. My garage space is inadequate for working on it right now, however there's a large chance I will get a better garage space early next year. Planning for a complete frame off restoration. The car has a lot of missing parts which will make it hard, a bunch of parts that were present in the auction photos ended up being forgotten about in the package deal for both cars. Simply put, it's a mess for now. A project blog will also be started on here. | ||||
