VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | pI purchased the car in 26 from an auto salvage yard in Michigan, where the car had been stored in a shed since for over 4 years. The car was originally delivered to Evanston, Illinois. I don't know who the first owner was, but based on incomplete title information Iknow the following: pOn January 12, 1954 a duplicate title was issued to Estella Stephen ofEvanston, IL. pOn July 14, 1958 Estella Stephen conveyed the car to George McDonnell of Holton, MI (a used car dealer, license # B-268) pOn August 28,1958 George McDonnell (a used car dealer)conveyed the car toDoyle Thompson of Scottville, MI pOn April 1, 1959 Doyle Thompson transfered title to Thompson's Garage in Scottville, MI pOn August 3, 1961 Ronald Thompson of Thompson's Garage partner conveyed the car to Joe's Auto Parts, Spring Lake, MI pIn 26 I acquired the car from Joseph Henry Bisacky (then in his nineties), and owner of Joe's Auto Parts. pThe and interior were in horrible condition. The car is being restored and the and frame have been separated. The chassis was actually in very good condition, although it was missing it's stromberg carburator. I have purchased new fenders, front bumper, grill and carb. I would like to find a replacement 1938 134" wb Super 8 with good structural wood. I expect this car to be restored to new show condition, and to be completed by 212.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS: | The car will be painted a new as of yet undetermined color.I am also replacing the internal gearing of the differential to result in a higher finaldrive ratio for easier highway driving./p pI really need that replacement 1938 Super 8 or 38/39 V12 .
