VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
This car has been in my possession since 1971. At that time Clayton Motors,a Studebaker Packard dealership. Located in Lakewood NJ, was liquidating it's stock. This car, with many others, was stored at a chicken farm in the area. It was purchased by me for junk value. And has been in my possession ever since.

The work and repaint was done by me. At the time I was on a limited budget. A professional restoration was out of the question. AsI was married, with with two young sons.

At present, it's presentable. I occasionally enter it into some local shows. It won't win anything, due to it's amateur restoration. But it's fun to hear the young people ask, "What kind of car is a Packard?". I even had a guy say, "Nice DeSoto".

Now that I am retired, I plan on doing the professional work, that this old survivor deserves.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
Modified the electrical system to 12V. Used a 100A Delcotron Alternator.

Replaced the Oil Bath Air Cleaner with a chrome aftermarket.

Installed a 12V Mercedes, Electric Fan in front of the Radiator.

Aftermarket Mirrors

No other modifications. Saved all the 6 volt stuff. In case I decide to sell and the new owner wants originality.
