Car dismantled when purchased some years ago, no two parts together. There had been a few attempts at fixing major rust in the rear quarters (- well - actually rear HALVES would be a better description). VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
This Coupe had been stored since around 197's, the owner had intended to restore it but never did much. Prior history not known, but car is a RHD so was sold in Australia.
I have completed a total off, bare-metal restoration. The car has been faithfully restored to original specifications and no alterations to engine, , transmission, interior, brakes etc have been made. Most 'consumable' parts have been replaced with new / NOS including steering/ suspension, brakes, windscreen, upholstery (in original colours and broadcloth / vinyl), carpets. Virtually all chrome was replated. Engine needed only pistons, rings, a cam bearing and kits through fuel pump, carburettor, new rear seal, gaskets etc. Original radio works after capacitors replaced. Ultramatic works well but not reconditioned (yet). Paint is an original colour: Matador Maroon Metallic.
I am very keen to discover the history of this car.
