VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | I believe the car has always been registered and used , I have overhauled the brakes and front suspension apart from that the car seems mechanically good , there is minor rust in the rear lower quarters and when thats repaired I plan to register the car to drive and enjoy. Update to December 213 , the car is now a regular driver and recently completed a 2000 mile return trip from Sydney to Phillip Island for the national rally . It returned 19 mpg and I am astonished at how well it runs for a sixty year old machine . The interior has been renewed in the original style and I just need to finish the paintwork and re-chrome the rear bumper .
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS: | The car has been converted to a 12volt system with an alternator Have replaced the ultramatic with a turbo 700 using an adaptor kit from Benstiens and Im very happy , the car now accelerates like a modern car and cruises effortlessley at 80 mph
