OPTIONAL EQUIPTMENT: | 1953 Formal Sedan by Derham. Car is unmolested time capsule. Everything is original.
VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | Please see the Derham project blog. I bought the car from the wife of the late second owner whose mother was a sister to the Packard brothers. This was his motivation to collect Packards. To this day, his wife (who is a cousin to one of the founding Trico families) doesn't know how many Packards he actually owned. She is aware of three, they kept the Derham as "it was the most fun to drive". Found much of original delivery info (Feb 23, 1953) in glove drawer and there is correspondence between second owner and Robert Turnquist discussing collectability of the Derham. Also have hand written reply from Enos Derham regarding the Formal car conversion for the factory. Transmission was removed, rebuilt and replaced in early 6's so the drive line is original. Last driven June 1981 after fresh NYS Inspection and put away. Car has spent its entire existence in Buffalo.
