VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | 142 Not an authentically restored show car, but I love driving it every chance I get. Purchased in '5, did some basic mechanical servicing and gave it a deluxe Maaco paint job in "Horizon Blue" a '53 GM color which resembles Packard's "Polaris Blue". Have a background in furniture upholstery, so recovered the door panels myself. Found a way to restore the original design lines without sewing. Originals appear to have been heat branded by Packard. Replaced the headliner as well which took three tries. Now I'm an expert! Next, the car will get wide whitewall radials when I can afford. | ||||
