Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS: | I have modified the braking system as the BTV unit had failed. I replaced it with a modern dual-diaphragm booster and dual chambered master cylinder. It was necessary to alter the brake pedal to achieve the proper pedal leverage ratio. /p pReplaced the ignition points and condenser with a Pertronix Ignitor unit./p pReplaced the original 'Clipper, instrument cluster/clock with one from a 'Senior Packard (no oil and gen lights, now oil and ammeter gauges)./p pRe-built original AM Wonderbar radio so now it is a AM/FM/Aux (Satellite radio) 4-speaker (w/front tweeters) radio with a functioning Wonderbar. The unit looks bone stock and was done by Bob's radio restoration in So. California./p pRestored, with some customization, the interior (seats, headliner, carpet, dash pad cover, back window tray) using original Packard fabric and leather in place of vinyl). re-painted metal parts (steering wheel, dash, door and window frames). Customized the trunk space to match the interior (carpet, spare tire cover, under window tray speaker box)./p pReplaced the Delco generator with an alternator/bracket from Quality Power.
