VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | This car was in progress of a frame off restoration by the second owner. We are the third owners of the car, which was originally purchased from D.E. Mc Danald in Pasadena, California. The second owners bought it about 55 years ago and had neglected it for some period of time before starting the restoration. The frame has been painted and all of the running gear reinstalled on it. New wood sills were made and the has been placed on the frame. The engine was professionally rebuilt and balanced as a part of the rebuild. The transmission was also rebuilt and both engine and transmission are now installed in the car. All of the pieces are on hand and many of the small ones have already been chrome plated. The dash and window trim pieces have been wood grained and look like new. The entire car has been painted. The upper in IM 54 (Carnival Red &ndash a color that was available in 1932) and the lower section black. A two phase (BC & CC) solvent base system was used. The paint has also been color sanded. The interior will be finished with a period correct fabric. As of May 216 the mechanical and electrical portions are about 90% complete leaving the next major portion to be completed is the interior. | ||||
