VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | pWe Purchased the car in 1999 in Ridgefield, CT from Dr. Robert Mead, DDS who said he bought it at Hershey(?) from, "the Carl Ainsley estate." I have been told the car was at one time owned by Bob Earhart of Holly Springs, PA. The car had been delivered new in 1941 by the Philadelphia Packard Dealer. pSince purchasing the car we did a major restoration, new paint, new carpet, new to and rebuilt the motor and overdrive. The car earned it's CCCA Premier crest with a score of 99.75 pts. at the national convention. We have taken First in Class at the 22 and 27 PAC National Meets. The car has been shown atnumerousevents and wons several awards, including Meadowbrook Hall, CCCA Classic Experience andBay Harbor Concours. pWe alsoenjoy driving the car and recently took it on a tour of northern Michigan in the Leelanau Peninsula area withMotor City Packards. | ||||
