VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
My1954Packard Pacific hardtopwas a factory "special" created by Ed Cunningham of the color and upholstery department at Packard. His mission was to convince to
brass to adopt trendier colors. Five Carnation and Amethyst cars were produced and shown to dealers at the factory. California dealer Earle C. Anthony purchased most, if not all, of them and shipped them to his dealerships in California. My car was apparently wholesaled toFowler Motors in Everett, WA. The first owner was a school teacher in Mt. Vernon, WA. The car has had four owners since, including me. When I purchased the car, it was in solid, original condition, though the paint was faded on the hood and front fenders. I repainted the car in 1997, using a PPG paint analyzer to match the new paint to the original. Bumpers were also re-chromed and wire wheels added, as well as a light engine overhaul and a few other mechanical repairs. The Pacific has won several prizes and was displayed at the 2009 Kirkland (WA) Concours. The car was featured in a Salon cover story for the summer 2004 Packards International quarterly. Advised that this Packard was sold about 5 months ago to a noted New Jersey Packard Collector. Mal(Ozstatman) 13th February 2017
