VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
Belonged first to a instructor at West Point Military Academy. Second owner in Western Massachusetts experienced damage when hood release malfunctioned cracking winshield and denting hood. As the third owner many years ago, I replaced hood and windshield, also obtained NOS front fenders where there was rot in the front of front fenders from Standard Surplus Company Dennis Lambert South Bend Indiana. Had front end cli
repainted and new headliner installed. Seats were original but torn so I had then replaced with black leatherette. What can I say - I was in my twenties then. Intend to send for original upholstery and return to original pattern. I replaced the rugs and replaced pitted chrome with NOS and good used as well as had some rechroming. Need still replacement seat motor and power masts for rear antenna which were snapped off by vandals also would like to obtain NOS chrome surrounds for antenna
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
Right now I have non automatic antennas in back, wrong leatherette upholstery which for better or worse is still in nice shape afterforty years or soalso since I had it done. Thedash pad has collapsed and looks like it has shrunk some and I will want to do somethong original or close to it there. Antenna surrounds in back are painted black at present. The picture I am including is one of a gentleman from Vermont whose carhas apperred in the net from time to time. Mine isn't bad lopoking but not quite as nice as his lovely sample.I trust he will not mind . As soon as I havemy car out of winter storage I will post it and give you mynumbers ect.Mine appears as a close clone of the one displayed but doesn't have quite as nice appearing paint. Most of my paint other nthan the front end clip which I had done about thirty five years ago, is originalI intend to get the entire car repainted perhaps later this year. Also I am hoping to replace my oworn trunk upholstery soon.
