Thanks, guys. Good ideas all around. I’m trying to take it slow and steady. I want to get this right.
I do think the clamp and blocks idea is worth a try to stabilize the fender. It may not be needed, but can’t hurt. To be honest, I’ve thought about the general location of where I’ll put the clip, but I really hadn’t thought about how to actually set it down. I need to look in to that. I know I can get a pallet. That may help. I also have quite a bit of foam packing material that I can put under in places to as well. I’ll think on that some more.

I would pick up the fenders towards the front of the arch where it's bolted to radiator core brace.
That point forward is where probably 80% of the weight will be anyway. Just have a plan to where your going to set it so your not crushing the bottom point of the grille shell, or putting strain on the back end of the fenders. Maybe a couple of pallets or something like that. Then that bottom bolt can slip through the slats.

I don't know about workmanship, but the thing looks pretty good to me. I wonder if the boat tail isn't made from a 1940s Lincoln hood. I wouldn't call it a Packard; I'd call it a "Packard-based resto-mod". To the modder's credit, it retains its straight eight and most distinguishing Packard interior features. I'd want to extend the belt line chrome trim all the way to the peak of the boat tail. Would I cut up a clean, original Packard to build this? No, but if I had the talent and tools, I'd certainly consider turning something like a damaged or incomplete junior sedan or coupe into a custom roadster. Stylewise, it looks great in profile.

Wheel covers are easy to find. Check with mike Dulinski or Mike Chirco. Either of them will definitely have what you need at reasonable prices.

You might want to stabilize the cracked fender using a C-clamp and a couple of shaped pieces of wood or a pair of those rubber sanding blocks. That would allow you to clamp the cracked area between the wood or rubber blocks to prevent any tearing or kinking as you handle the fender assembly.
