So I found this discussion topic and Mal posted these specs. I am fairly certain this matches my 1937 120C, per the decoder. 282 (*straight 8)

Sounds like a good idea, I just thought that rather than re invent the wheel...someone may have already has been through this journey.

You may want to check with a museum that owns a Twin Six, see if they know.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Hello all, I assume by the lack of response that no one really knows the 3 - 25 Twin Six head torque. It is definitely not in the Owners Manual. I shall therefore Torque to 45 ft/lbs flattening it out from the centre, as it appears reasonable for the head stud size. Any comments or notes of caution based on previous experience would be welcome.

I'll have to check that stuff out. I would love to replace the bubble insulation so it doesn't sound like I'm stepping on trash when I get in the car. Thanks for the recommendation.

I'd find out the head bolt torque spec, then assemble the parts and tighten the removed head bolt to about 80% of the recommended torque. Then go over ALL the head bolts, using a good torque wrench, in the proper order and be sure they are all at recommended torque. Be sure the bolt hole is clean and free of coolant or debris. Be sure the air cleaner brace is located correctly before tightening the head bolt.

520-336-0057 is Mike's cellphone and he responds better to texts so you might try that.

Is there a specific torque level to apply when reassembling?
