Sorry Big Kev,
I didn't mean to ignor your input, I fat fingered the "submit" too quickly. Steve P

Thanks, OD
I spoke with the supplier this morning and they've been using this same material for quite some time. Apparently the same as what's being used on race cars. I have to agree that the mated surfaces are not true. That's about the only thing it can be. When I reinstalled, they were assembled as a unit, then on the car. Thanks for the input.......... Steve P

I'm interested to hear any thougts about the gasket between the intake and exhaust manifold continously burning out creating a leak.
Background includes the following: 1940 110 6 cylinder, *both manifolds coated with a ceramic coating. *Torch used to extract broken bolt *surfaces were not machined prior to assembly *second gasket used, less than 3 hrs running time Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated, Thanks, Steve P

Thanks Guys,
You're answered my question. I've really struggled this week trying to get this car to run smoothly. I've rechecked everything several times and this was one question that I had. I assume that this would have a major impact on the timing if not set correctly......... Regards, Steve P

Question on Ignition Timing

Hey Guys,
I need a little help regarding the ignition timing on my '40 110. The manual describes "with the fuel compensator set at zero spark should occur in No. 1 as per the data...." Can someone shed some light on the fuel compensator? Is this the graduated scale on the side of the distributor? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

O_D,
Can you tell me if the 85w140 can be substituted for the SAE 140 as recommended for the transmission and the Econo-drive supplied in my 40 110? If not, any suggestions? Thanks, Steve P
