Ok guys give it a beating now and see if it breaks. Some of the special characters and punctuation were causing the SQL database commands to fail. I had to add some special code to handle those, and it should now work. I was able to replicate this problem over and over with the exact same message. Once I added the code to compensate for the special characters, then it worked just fine. Hopefully this was the monkey wrench in the machine.
Thanks for bearing with me. As always I try to fix things as quickly as I can once I can determine where the gremlin lies. I would have tracked it down sooner, but I am currently traveling for business. Thanks to Mal for the punctuation suggestion that sent me looking in the right direction.

Hmmm weird. I will take a look at the coding and see what I can come up with. The original free source code was pretty spagetti, so there may be core timing issues with it. I will take a look.

Can you explain in more detail what you guys are seeing so I can reproduce it?
I added 20 messages in a row, and it appeared to work just fine when I tested it.

Mal, good to see you back with an Avatar!
I think there maybe a character limit on length of each chat room message. I will have to check on that.

I made some code changes to the Chat Room to allow it to load faster. The person that wrote the original code for the chatroom module was using files to store and retrieve the chat conversations. That is very slow and must be read in a linear fashion. I converted it to use a database for storage. It should now be far more efficient. I also fix several bugs that were in the core code.
The joys of free open source code. Please let me know if you have any problem with it. Thanks,

I know that Sierra Grove Packards, who makes the TorqueFlight conversion adapaters for the Packards has two different kits. One for the 54 and prior, and another for the 55/56. So I would imagine that they are very much different.
Eric may be able to give more detail as I know he has owned '53s and '56s.

Another tip on the Chat Room:
You can leave it Chat Room window open and in the background, and if a new message arrives, it should play a 'Chirp' noise. That was you can keep working, or surfing without have to have that in the foregound at all times.

I always thought the bellhousings were completely different.
The closest thing you are going to get to a 'Twin' on a '54 block would be a 'Gear Start' I would imagine. There are not very many 'Gear Start' trannies out there as they were really protoype trnasmissions installed at the very end of the '54 production run. My Clipper does have one of the them. You can spot them easily in a '54 by the dipstick visible under the hood on the drivers side, or the fact it has two drive indents (one before and one after the 'D') on the shift selector.

Everything looks ok with your account. Just try to upload a new Avatar for your account. The avatar must be 120 x 120 pixels or smaller. Once you update your avatar, the envelope will be replaced with your uploaded pic.

Looking at your profile for some reason you have an envelope selected as your avatar. You can even see that here in the forums right under your name.
Let me go check your account and make sure nothing is funky.
