I'll try to take a stab at this, I am sure other will have there own

The 'Clippers' and 'Packards' both fall under being Packards. the 'Packard' line cars were larger, had bigger engines is most cases, and came with better trim, paint, and equiptment options. They were marketed towards the luxury market.

The Clipper line cars was Packard's Medium priced line. I hate to use the anology but you can thing of the 'Packard' line cars are the Lexus's and the 'Clippers' are the Toyota Camery's. Same manufacuturer, but marketed towards a different segment of the market.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. But i'm just the caretaker here. I lock-up at night, and make sure the trash gets taken out.

It's all of you that make the site work!

Joel, that is a great shot. I really like those kind of photos. 3 guys having a great day out with their cars.

Not to make anyone feel old, but the funny thing to me is when that shot was taken, I was 6 months old and still leaving in England.

I guess I fall into that rare group of Gen-X'rs that has taken an interest in older cars.

Was the "Brown Bomber" a Darrin design? It has that "Darrin Dip" style.

Does anyone have any good shots of the 1952 Packard Pinin Farina Coupe from when it was debuted in 1952?

I think it is currently in the Packard Museum in Dayton, or at least a tribute copy of it is.

That car has always been one of my favorites.

Brian,

The best way to create an article is to write it in Word so you ahve precise control of the layout and formatting, and then just save it as a PDF.

That is what I did with the FuelPump article, and my upcoming CARB rebuild article.

If you want to write something inline, the use the Kovi editor as it gives you better layout controls.

Now that would be a good Article to write up Brian. With the text as you described it, and a couple of pictures or illustrations. It's almost a Judging Guide to 55-56 exterior trim.
