Ronnie
Ross thank you that helps me out a lot.

HH56 Thanks you given me more than $0.02 more like $1.02 to me hahaha. Thanks for telling me about being careful with the bezel because I probably would have broke it. Thanks again for telling me about the larger rim Center hole, now I understand why it was so hard to fit another rim I had brought for it. The transmission adapters too expensive for me but it's good to see a picture of what I need to do,. Do you remember the name of the Ford truck and year for the radiator?
What material were the radiators of that time made of. I figured that manual transmissions for Packards would be really hard to find. Very happy to find out that there is Parts online readily available for the torsion level suspension, and thank you for telling me what to look for while inspecting it. I have noticed that Ford parts could fit like a top loader transmission aswell.

Owen thank you that's a very good to know.

Riki thank you do you have any tips on getting the ignition cylinder out safely?

So what are you guys using for your fluids & plugs, how do you like that twin ultramatic and after one fully understands it how reliable is it and are the parts still available?
And how's unleaded gas treating you?
Thanks everyone.

Question for. What known an available transmission adapters are there for the V8 352?

Question 5. What oil weight, recommended spark plugs and wires, and Cooling do you use? Do you go to places like O'Reilly's for parts and RockAuto?

Question 6. I would like to get rid of the Packard wheel hubs so I could fit any Wheels I would want has anybody ever done this. And has anybody ever done any disc conversions?

Question 7. How hard is it to find the manual transmissions 4 the Packard V8?

Question 8. Is the VIN located on the door, 8 numbers in total?

Question 9. Where can I find the parts to the torsion bar suspension setup?

Lot Full of Packards. S. California

Ronnie
I recently bought Packard and I found a pretty good find. In the California high desert in a city called Lucerne Valley there is a old man with the lot for the Packers. He is 81 years old and wants to get rid of all his cars he has been collecting, they are in a good part of the country which prohibits rust. There's about 45 cars and 75% of them are Packard's. This is an old man who doesn't like to text message or take calls after 7 p.m. California time, I can give you an example but I bought my car for $350 so this guy wants to get them out fast and cheap. If you message me I can give you his phone number I just didn't want to put it on the whole internet for everybody to see. Thank you have a great day. In this picture I put up is only a 4th of his cars.

Hey guys thanks for all the info and support. I ended up purchasing that 55 Clipper and then end up being a custom clipper, when I got there they weren't Wheels on the driver side it was laying on the brake hubs on top of loose dirt. My plan was to jack up the front of the car so I started but my Jack failed halfway so I had to improvise and dug up a big hole around the brake drum until I can fit a tire in there. I had no shovel all I had was a crowbar & my hands. I knock that pin off with the hammer with a good 50 blows of the hammer. Did that to the second Tire, in two hours of running around in the dirt digging holes I called the tow man and we are gone. for 350 bucks I think that was the best steal I've seen around for the clipper.

New on the site/ might buy a 55
Home away from home

Ronnie
Hello everyone my name is Ronnie and I'm new on this site and like the title says I might buy 55. 55 Clipper to be exact two-door hardtop, I should be going this weekend to take a look at it and everything checks out I will be purchasing it, it's in really rough condition but the price of it evens it out, all parts and trim plus and minus some trim parts are there and the engine in the transmission also. Can anybody give me some forethought or what I'm getting myself into with the 55 Clipper model. I read on the internet about their special suspension and I think it might be a Clipper custom . Where do you guys buy your parts? And how about the transmission is there anything swappable. I'm sure I'll have way more questions later.
