I have a couple of air cleaners which I can't identify, so if someone posts pictures and some dimension, I might be able to help.

I have a NAPA 2509330 on our Late Third Series Six.
NAPA says it is obsolete and the new number is 2526366.
Cross references to
Gates TR26366
ACDelco T26366

Hope this helps...

Enjoy your ride....

1947-50? goddess in CNN Keytruda commercial
Home away from home
Home away from home

Bob Supina
FYI....Twice while watching CNN around 7:30PM (Central) there was a commercial for the drug Keytruda.
As usual, many scenes are flashed while the narrator rambles on.
What caught my eye was a millisecond of a shot of the stylized Goddess of Speed...about '47-50.

I'll bet a million viewers have puzzled..."What the heck was THAT?!?!?!"

Maybe others have seen it????

What model uses this brake drum?
Home away from home
Home away from home

Bob Supina
Years ago I acquired a pile of '39 Super Eight parts from a chap who had restored a car and wanted to get rid of the remnants of the parts car.
I have these brake drums (and assorted other hard parts) and would like some confirmation of identity before I start advertising them.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for looking..

P.S. I also have a steering column and box, front fender supports, brake cores, etc if any reader is interested ....

What model uses this shock?

Bob Supina
When I bought our '37 Super Eight Convertible Sedan back in '98 it had these rear shocks, which are not correct, according to the Parts Book.
They are much heftier than our other Super Eights.
Are they more appropriate for the Twelve?
Any help is appreciated.

1939 wheel supports....application???
Home away from home
Home away from home

Bob Supina
I have this set of wheel supports that I got years ago from someone who parted out a 1939 Super Eight.
I have always heard that in 1939 the Super Eight used the 120 chassis.
I don't have a parts book to verify that statement, and I would like to find a new owner for this pair, but I don't want to misrepresent them in an ad.

Would appreciate any input on the subject...

The top hole is approximately 1.5" for the shock rubber bushing and the king pin and the lower hole is approximatly .84"

Thanks for all the input.
Of course I was hoping for a more positive answer, but just glad to know what the score is.

chrome plating pitted pot metal

It has been 30 years since I had any plating done for a restoration. Back then it was held that if the pot metal was pitted, one would have to strip the item and dig/drill out the offending corrosion before you could copper plate the item.

I am wondering if there is new technology that allows good plating without tedious restoration.

Speaking of antennas......

Garage sales can offer some interesting items....
I found a complete antenna salesman's kit several years ago.
Needless to say....the seller had no idea what it was.
