I'm not sure which one was in the vehicle but was wondering which vendor, and how much it cost for the rebuild kit? I have a 51 300

I had read that artical a while ago and enjoyed it granted didn't know what was true and what wasn't but seems like they were pretty close for the most part.
I would think that some of their downfall was during the war when they stopped making cars and helped the nation with war machines. Don't know if that was just a Packard thing or did other brands do the same?

I'm probably wrong but it seems like the purpose of the seal is to just not have it leak so I wouldn't think you would even need a gasket. The failure that my washer pump has is the spring corroded so the pump doesn't work. If anyone has a source for that long spring that would be useful.

I had a bumper shipped through grayhound which was actually pretty inexpensive if you have a station near you.

Has anyone used a vynal print for their trunk emblem? My 51 Packard emblem is cracked and has almost no color to it so after seeing the blue logo I was wondering folks thoughts on having that printed and affixed to the original emblem. If this seems like a somewhat good Idea what was the original color of the emblem and how would I change the background color.

Congratulations I've had my 51 Packard 300 since 2011 and it has been slow coming for mine as it was a restoration project and not already completed. It runs and drives though so I still get to enjoy it.

How much did it cost for the glass? I already have the wing removed from the car. I didn't know if that would look funy to have one new glass and the rest originals.

I was curious if anyone knew if the drivers front wing window is the same for 51-54 I picked one up a while back and now that I'm set to put it in I find that the window is very delaminated and also tinted. So off to find another. Just making sure that the years are all the same so if I order one other than my year 51 it will fit.

YES! I Proved to be more stubborn than my car and finally was able to remove the door handle, now I can move forward.
