Greetings:

Does anyone have a Trico Reference Manual to look up and see what model window washer pump was used on the 1951 Patrician 400? I want to rebuild my pump and have found a vendor that sells the kits but I am not sure what he sells will fit my pump.

Thanks.

I'm not sure which one was in the vehicle but was wondering which vendor, and how much it cost for the rebuild kit? I have a 51 300

1956 Trico catalog shows number 87201-1EW for the pump only from 1949 to 1952

Trico washer unit parts were available from McVey's, the Cadillac/LaSalle vendor. They also had a rebuild service, at least at one time; when they did mine in 2009 the cost was $128. Ficken Wiper Service may also a service but probably not parts.

BDeB:

Thanks for the Trico part number on the '51 Packard. Now if you could do me another favor and look up a 1951-1956 Buick and see if the Buick Trico part number for the washer pump is the same as the Packard part number. If so, then I can order the rebuild kit from a Buick vendor which will fit my '51 Packard.

Here is the kit from the Buick vendor:

http://www.oldbuickparts.com/catalog/up-to-1960-buick-group-10-windshield-wiper-windshield-washer-kit-1951-56-buick-p-26058.html

I think they are a little pricey, and the kit doesn't include the 6" spring that is sometimes rusted beyond use. But I guess if you want a working washer then there is no alternative.

The same pump number is shown for 1951 to 1954 Buicks.

The early pumps were made of brass and the later replacements were plastic. You should confirm that the parts for the Buick pump are the right ones for the type of pump that you have.
