Is there a drawing or something that shows the locations of the vacuum lines?
I have a couple of open ends on the engine and just wondering where they should lead.

Here is an overdue update.

It took more time on all the power windows stuff then I thought it would but I have them all wired up now.
The rear regulator are to yet installed. I want to get the window seals installed first, then the glass and the regulators but the seals are on back order and its taking a few weeks to get them.

The regulators are built and ready to go with the new motors.
The motors for the front seat are installed.
Once the window stuff is done I will start installing the interior.

Speaking of the interior. I am told the last of the stuff will be done in the next couple weeks.
He was having a hard time with the door panels due to the rot on my original panels. So I found a decent panel on ebay for him to use have a pattern for the new ones. He seems pleased with it.

I still have a leak in the stupid power window pump. I tried the leak stop but its not working. I am going to have to remove the pump soon check it out.

Last time I tried to run the engine it would not idle. I ended removing and rechecking the carb. While it was off the engine I got the TV cable installed for the 700 R4. Also installed the resonators so I could run the exhaust line to a near by window. All that took a couple months due to the cold.

Then today I decided to just kick the engine over with the starting fluid. It started fine and as I waited for it to shut off I realized it was idling on its own so, that was exciting. I only let run a minute as its low on some fluids.

In the last image you will see a new addition to the shop. Its a 72 Ford Bronco. It is not mine. I am a friend do some body work. He let it set in his driveway for 15 years so I talked him into hauling down here for me to work on.

Hopefully, I will be be back soon with more updates.

It is a 12-volt, negative ground.

I would not mind leaving the generator in place as long as it charges the battery.
With all the changes I am not sure it is set up correctly to do that.
How does power flow to the battery?

I am sure this subject has been discussed many times here but I am curious about alternators.

Currently, I have the generator installed and I believe it is operable but I don't know what it is doing for me.

I am using a wire harness from Painless/Summit and I have a Petronix device in the distributor.
The harness already has all the wiring needed for an alternator.

I am out of my element on this subject but am wondering if an alternator would be more useful to me than the generator with my current setup.

I am planning to convert to the new motors on the rear windows. We will see how/if that works.

I braved the cold today. It was 22 degrees in the shop when I arrived.

I remounted the power front seat contraption (what the motor mounts to) today. It took me about 40 minutes to get the two roll pins in place.

Then I realized I had them facing the wrong way toward the back seat. So I get the start over again when get back out there.

Is this photo correct?

That one comment "I think the regulator needs to be mounted a lot lower than you are holding it, right?", may have made all the difference.

I just assumed that it was mounted higher, inside the curve of the window rail. It never dawned on me that might be mounted that low but the holes do align. I did not even know that the bottom bolt hole was down there.

I lost all the disassembly pictures a couple of years ago.

Thank you, those pictures do provide a little more knowledge than I had before.

What I need now is a photo similar to the first image below. I need to see which holes are used to bolt the 3 parts into place.

I am holding the regulator, in image 3, as it is shown in the drawing in image 2. None of the holes match up with the mounting locations on the regulator.

The long straight bar that goes across the bottom is the only piece I can match up to the holes.

I stepped away for a few weeks during the holidays.
Just got back into my shop last week.

I picked up some of the interior pieces this morning.
He is still working on the door panels and the back of the rear seat.
I will start reconnecting the power seat frame to the lower portion soon.

I have ordered the carpet from StockInteriors.com and hope to have it next week.

I am trying to finish up the front door power windows.
Still hoping someone will post a picture of how the window regulators in the rear are installed.

It is going to be pretty cold next week so don't know how much I can work out there.

That would be very helpful, thank you.

I am not really installing them at this time. Just trying to understand them better so a few more days will cause me any delays.

I identified the mount holes for a couple of the rear regulator brackets.

The straight, lower bar in the first image was easy.

The second image shows the bar that pivots the window up and down. I think I have located the holes to mount it. I know how this arm connects to the regulator itself.

The third image is the regulator bracket. If the top left bracket hole uses the hole just below where the glass pivots then the other two holes do not reach anything.

I have it oriented as the drawing shows it. It would not surprise me if I am holding the whole thing upside down.
