Yes, as wired the relays reverse the polarity to change direction as well as carry the full current. The brake function is conveniently enabled with the way the motor is wired at the relays. I am curious to know if Stewart still uses the same type relays and where or what wiring he has been able to reconfigure or eliminate. Have often been told simple is better and if something can be eliminated so conversio can be a bit cheaper am all for that.

I'll get you the whole wiring diagram. It will probably be next week once I have the final parts and I have walked off all that turkey.

For now, I will provide an image of the relay wiring that I got online for these motors. I have tested it and using the PW switch to ground the motors does work. If there are going to be any issues I will not know until I find them the hard way.

Appears they are using relays too so looks to be just a matter of how they control the relays and connect the armature for any differences.

Since voltage was already going to the stock switches via the existing loom and switch leads were already going to somewhere accessible where the relays could be mounted near the motors, I chose to use what was already in the car as much as possible. A Quick Splice T tap on the existing Battery wire going to the switch connector block to get motor voltage and then the switched voltage out from the old motor leads to operate the relays.

Maybe so if you are used to Amazon/eBay but it is a very useful site for those wanting to buy industrial electronics. Most people consider it the best, actually. The main problem can just be the thousands of options, and everything there is current production intended for new designs, so limited usefulness for vintage cars.

I would use the original wires as well but I am using a Painless harness so it's all new anyway.

Question:
I tried matching up one of the rear window regulators today. None of the bolt holes on the regulator match the holes in the body. Is there another drawing showing how it installs?

Just the one you show in your photo from the parts book. As I recall the motor section is forward and the upper arm front screw is near the door opening sort of under the window pivot while the length spans the access opening to the rear hole about in the middle. A third screw is at the bottom of the opening Like the front doors, a bar connects the motor section to the second half which mounts with two screws sort of in the middle with the track for the end of the window actuating arm to slide in welded to the inner sheetmetal closer to the wheel well.

There is very little spring assist or any decent mechanical advantage in the regulator to lift the heavy glass so the motor is straining to raise the window. I do not know how the replacement motors will work in this situation. One thing that helps is take care to center and align the window with the upper fuzzy channel and use a grease that won't dry or get sticky to lube anything that slides or moves.

On this topic, where should these regulators be greased? My rear windows are fairly stiff, and having nice windows is a priority since I like to crank them all down before a drive.

I haven't removed them from the car but the interior trim is off. I already greased what is accessible but it didn't seem to help much.

I identified the mount holes for a couple of the rear regulator brackets.

The straight, lower bar in the first image was easy.

The second image shows the bar that pivots the window up and down. I think I have located the holes to mount it. I know how this arm connects to the regulator itself.

The third image is the regulator bracket. If the top left bracket hole uses the hole just below where the glass pivots then the other two holes do not reach anything.

I have it oriented as the drawing shows it. It would not surprise me if I am holding the whole thing upside down.

That would be very helpful, thank you.

I am not really installing them at this time. Just trying to understand them better so a few more days will cause me any delays.
