From the last V8 roster I have, there were 95 56 Caribbean hardtops listed. This is all forms of cars found, from parts cars to restored from the beginning of the roster to the next barn find.
Ebay and other internet sales sites have produced many new roster finds.

I agree with Owen about the difficulties of looking at club rosters and IF the member lists their cars etc. Each roster that someone or club has is dependant on someones offer to give out information. They may be members one year and not the next. Have the car and sell it.
I am not familiar with any PI roster keepers, but PAC does have roster keepers for different years and models. The 55-56 roster keeper, the last one I saw had about 162 of the 56 Caribbeans convertibles found. NOT ALL are complete cars, but they were identified. You can contact the PAC roster keepers at www.packardclub.org Even Packard made estimates on how many cars were still on the road look at Packard Service Letter Vol 16 NO 10 May 15 1942. "How many cars have tires? www.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SL-VOL16NO10.pdf

Hank,
After seeing the repair already done to this block, and the crack repair that you are having done, and now boring out the block. Will this block take all of this? Will the block be sound enough for motoring. I am betting that one day you might just want to romp on the gas.............. I do not know ANYTHING about what you are doing, just keep thinking about how much money you are putting into it. You know where there are V8 blocks. Just not the one that came with your car.

Cutter336,
Did you buy it at a auction in Houston? White over red orange? A friend gave me a photo from that auction. It does not have the Packard crest, but it does have the Monte Carlo script above the front tire. And it looks like a black top. I always wondered what happened to that car. Not a good picture, but he said there were so many people around it, this was the best shot he had. You should put it on a trailer and show it at Salado.

The V8 parts books list exterior lacquer colors, and interior paint an air drying enamel, page XII & XIII.
The 22nd thru 54th does not say lacquer for exterior, but does list air drying enamel for the interior, page XVI & XVII. Why did they use both? Different paint for different protection of the painted surfaces? A harder gloss shine on the outside and a muted tone on the inside?

Look in the 22nd thru 54th series parts book. On page 517 group # 31.000 top Assy-folding. It has Tan less fabric, less fabric, Green less fabric. What color are the bows now?

The Packard Club does not list a region in Spain, but the home page list the Euro Packard Meet in June. You might find someone who could help you with your question.

Have you looked at the vendors listed in the Packard Yellow pages on the home page of The Packard Club?
