I have this air filter and would appreciate any hints of its application. The long neck puzzles me.

What rpm is 30mph?????

Bob Supina
Both the 1937 Shop Manual and the National Data Service manual describe the procedure of diagnosing the performance of the generator
"Run the engine for several minutes at the equivalent of 30 mph".
OK...does anyone have a tachometer in their 1937 Super Eight?

My wife is skeptical of me sitting on the fender...hood open while she drives down the road.

Those are the front trim on a 35-37 Twelve.

The breather tube is on the middle left in '37 and on the front right in '38.

No, the added length of the TWELVE is in the front end, so the hood and fenders are different.

I do have a few items for a Twelve...let's chat offline...

Many thanks. I was unaware of this product. One review claims the accuracy is questionable, but worth a try.

Thanks.

engine analyzers...

I would appreciate some expert advice on engine analyzers on 6v positive cars. There are many on the internet listed for 12v but not 6v.
The National Service Manual stipulates the idle for the 1937 Super Eight should be set to 350rpm or 7mph.
For years I have just been setting it by sound, the way my Father taught me. Am curious to 'go by the book'. The Shop Manual just says 1/2 turn out from closed.

Also, if someone can recommend a good make and model, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking....

Please Help identify radiator.....
Home away from home
Home away from home

Bob Supina
I have this radiator which I would like to find a new caretaker, but I don't know how to advertise it.
the top tank has a label with patent numbers, but in large letters is
"McCord B5-88'

The Hollander Interchange manual does not list radiators by McCord....just by make of car....

Thanks....
