I believe I have an extra bracket. I replaced the 2 contact switch with the 4, two months ago, and inadvertently ordered the switch with the bracket ("the kit").

Its a David Moe sighting.

After many emails going unanswered and getting a disconnect message on his telephone, I heard from the elusive David Moe today. I've been looking hither and yon for the side view mirrors for my '47 clipper that attach to the trim (not the door edge variety) -- and he has what he described as a nice pair. Assuming they are nice, his price was fair. I also spoke with him and he sounds good. Hopefully he'll be around for a while.

Thank you both for your comments. I'll have to make sure my R-9 is a R-9A, and the right solenoid. I did buy a reverse lock-out switch from Max Merrit -- thanks to an earlier response on this forum.

My '47 LWB Custom Super Clipper has been undergoing and extended mechanical restoration for the past 3 years, and it is nearing completion. The restorer test drove it a couple of weeks ago and experienced some overdrive issues. I assured him it was properly an R-9, as the R-9 age appropriate, and it does have the six wire R-9 relay. Low and behold, it has R-9 wiring, but the unit is an R-11. So, I have a spare transmission with an attached R-9 unit. My plan is to go all R-9, and not mess with the new wiring harness.

Any thoughts or advice? thanks

I like the comment about half-way through, "The Classic Car Club won't let her enter it, they say its too modified."

The scbullis 46 LWB was the subject of the following thread. I'm glad it found a good home, and I'm really amazed about the pistol holster -- how could we miss that when we were identifying all the options!

Mike,

Does your donor 48 have the elusive splash panels that JW and I are looking for (one right and one left)? Looks like a fine riding car.

If that art-car fetches $50,000, then I will say it is a proud Packard indeed.

Would the frame from the 54 Corporate Limousine work for the 55 / 56 Corporate Limousine? If not, what would?

Someone on this forum has got to build this.
