Brian, the 7 & 8 instead of 6 could become your lucky numbers.
Mal, the time has come for the pieces number 9 & 10. Go for it! ____________________________________________________________ Three members dropped a total of $6 in the donation box.

Dave, for years I enjoy both your willingness to provide information as well as your detailed knowledge and I'm far from certain to know which of the mentioned properties I admire more.

Dave, thank you. An Eigth or a Twelve - I'm afraid it could take a long time until the veil of history lifts. With view to our solitary photograph (click to enlarge) I'm able to complete a bit what was said. The number plate contains "Сф" = Sf like "Sofia". That seems to confirm that the car was registered in the capital of Bulgaria. And please take a look to its flagpole. Its presence could be a pointer to an official car or a former official car (tread wear).

If another liberal donor would like to hop in at the eleventh hour, there he would find the rule book.

How about another reduction? The reduced range starts from 1917 and goes up to 1958.

John, regardless of the current discussion around hybrids I would like to invite you to a time travel 100 years back to ask an US-American if he believes that his powerful national economy at some remote future date could be dependent on the mood of desert nomads. He probably would have laughed. Let us again fly 100 years back in time to tell the captain of one of these magnificent Mississippi steamboats about the weakness of his nickelplated and house-high engine. He probably would have burst into laughter. Our last time leap goes to a stagecoach, drawn by six gorgeous horses, to tell a proud carter that in our time vehicles with less than 200 hp are popular among elders ...
I think that the controlled combustion is a technology to bridge the gap to the next generation of energy production. To burn our resources in our days lacks of any kind of science aesthetic. We are able to do more and better. The awkwardness of early attempts ? la Dauphine Kilowatt, the smog in Hanoi, the biblical scale of industrial disaster in Fukoshima are milestones which will help us to find other ways. I'm neither an eco-warrior nor a technophobe but have eyes to see that we have reached a blind alley or, more positive, that we are on the cusp of what promises to be a major transformation of the transportation industry. John, I have read about a new holistic approach with standardized battery containers and worldwide exchange stations. That's all still up in the air and of course involves several starting points for criticism, as the majority of new ideas. But we have to think new.
