Not sure what the owner started with but the end result looks nice retaining a lot of original look. There was a red Packard convertable at the Winks cruise last year that Randy ,Brian and I attended which like the above car was modified. Complete with pictures from start to finish and the starting point was little more than rust and pile of spare parts. I would not be to hard on the owner and builder having not bin in his shoes or wallet as from the looks of this car he spent his money time effort his way and thats what matters in a hobby .

Looks like it may have clipper tail lights lense. Randy I did say Clipper not Packard to keep record straight. Also could be park on spot where a Packard once parked or that both have four wheels on the ground .

My grandfather always told us to drive a car as if you are paying for it and it wi;ll cost you less in the long run. Abuse has to be payed for some day and to see who pays look in the mirror or else in my case father how looked down on car abuse

Most cylinder sleeves I've seen are installed from the top with a counterbore to form a holding surface see the link which shows different styles made

Not sure what happened mother nature forgot to deliver our promised bad weather no complaints from me . My feeling is when they predict bad weather it doesn't show up.

I will continue to use the 78% nitrogen mixture provide in the air I breath. The nitrogen and green caps are another way for them to make easy money in my view. Most owners of old cars tend to be more aware of the state of there vehicles like fluid levels and tire pressure. As for the air force I do not drive as high or fly as fast as they do and money is a concern of mine unlike the government.

I assume Randy is referring to my project of replicating the remote fill system. The jars I located are the same style and capacity and cap and jar have same thread the brackets will be the hardest part to reproduce. They are a work in progress at this time . My main drive was to make a few for myself and brothers cars . Will need to find a source of a non-vented cap for the TV unit as I have a source for the master cylinder for my use on a 57 Clipper
