You are indeed correct! The Titanic museum/attraction is one of the closest venues to our host hotel. Both can be accessed from Gretna Road, and are on the same (North) side of US 76. It is perhaps a quarter mile from the Lodge of the Ozarks. We are currently working with the Titanic on discounts for interested visitors.

Hi all,

As a member of Mid-America Packards and the PAC, I wanted to invite all PAC members to this year's Packard National Meet in Branson, Missouri. We have been working hard to get everything lined up and ready to go, and hope you will come and have a great time. Everyone has probably already seen this year's Registration Form, but for those that have not, it can be downloaded from our Branson website as a pdf file:

http://branson2009.midamericapackards.org/index.html

My intent is to let you know that we are here to help answer any questions you might have concerning registration, accommodations, events schedule, or other activities.

One of our main objectives this year is to include all our young members, Tomorrow's Packard Owners and otherwise, in the fun. If you are a young Packard enthusiast, or know one, let us help you put together a great week.

We hope to see you in June!!

Jeff

Our main Host Hotel (Lodge of the Ozarks) does not allow pets. We are checking on our over-flow hotels for their pet policies. We are also contacting several of the RV/Campgrounds to see if they will give reduced rates for Packard National attendees. I will let everyone know the outcome.

The advice on brakes is a good one. I saw the result of brake failure at the '93 Meet in Asheville, NC. Not good. The terrain in the Ozarks is beautiful, and the driving is great. But the hills are steep, going up and coming down. We are laying tour routes that will give everyone a taste of the Ozarks without ending in disaster.

One reason (of many) that we chose the Lodge of the Ozarks for our host hotel is their level parking lot. Many of the hotels in town are built on a hill, with resulting steep parking areas.

I believe there are several around the town, and close by the host hotel. Are you looking for an RV park? One of our members has stayed at one just on the other (south) side of Table Rock Dam. It looks like the two nearest the hotel are Branson Shenanigans RV Park and Oak Grove RV Park.

I hope this is helpful in the short term. I will find some detailed info for you and anyone else looking for such.

Hey everyone,

First, I had GREAT time in Des Moines. After being in the club for 23 years, I finally was able to stay for the entire week. Our Hawkeye friends did a fine job.

To answer the question about the 2009 Meet in Branson, the Meet will be held the same week as this year, officially June 22 - 26. The host hotel (Lodge of the Ozarks) is offering us room rates of $75/night. This rate will be good for the weekend preceeding and following the meet for those that would like to see a little more of the Ozarks and the entertainment in Branson.

I am busy constructing a webpage which will have details added as they become available. In the meantime, if anyone has questions about the 2009 Meet, please let me know. Glad to answer what I can.
