Good afternoon all...Just a humble suggestion...but if we don't purchase from our trusted Packard Suppliers on the small things...they will not be there when we really need them. Also there have been stories on this site by folks who purchased from ebay and other odd sites and when the parts arrived...they were incorrect! My favorite has been Max Merritt...during the first few years we had Miss Prudence, they were patient, helpful, accurate and friendly...Ernie in Arizona

Good Morning...When we first acquired Miss Prudence, her horn was on a button under the dash. After we rebuilt the horn system, we would get a phantom horn honk on a hard left turn around the traffic circle near our house, on and off, for about six months, and since then, the horn has worked great. Sometimes I think that it was just part of Miss Prudence's personality! Ernie in Arizona

Good Morning...a friend of mine, remarking on Miss Prudence's design...pointed out that his first wife had wonderful lines, however was trouble much of the time. He current wife is a bit plump, however she is delightful, and that is how I feel about Miss Prudence! She might not be the most beautiful Packard, but she is reliable and delightful...much like a great breakfast of ham and eggs...Ernie in Arizona!

Hi Jim...There was a fellow in Mesa who did great work...If he is still in business...Tim 480-593-7931. He could do the work properly as I have seen several cars that he has finished. Material would have to come from you or a Packard vendor...Ernie over in Scottsdale.

Good afternoon...You most likely have to do this the old fashioned way and call Charod on the telephone! They have many things that are not on the web site. Ernie in Arizona

Good afternoon Howard...I took your advice and purchased some interesting polish...which smells like Bananas! It's called Banana Magic and is made by Auto Magic...One of our neighbors uses it and his Mini it always has quite a shine. I set the bottle on Miss Prudence's hood to let her get used to the idea. I also left a drop on her dash board...now her interior has a definite banana fragrance! Thanks for the advice! Ernie in Arizona

Well for dp...brand X is a Model A Ford. Both of us go back and forth between the 'People's Car' and the 'Car of the Well to do'.

These days the table has turned and the Packards like ours can often be less money than the comparable Model A Ford. Go figure!

Miss Prudence and I were out again, this morning, and a man at ACE Hardware insulted the poor old girl. He told me that 'Prudence had a rear end Bigger than the Crack of Dawn'! The poor old girl is now depressed and won't start unless I rub her steering wheel and talk to her...then she fires right up and is ready to go.

Good Morning...It seems like the Media of our time concentrates on one major story at a time and as the staff of all the papers, radio and television stations, and even social media become younger...1941...has just simply faded away...it is perhaps just history now...like World War 1 or the Civil War...Ernie in Arizona
