Re: Spear trim clips?
Home away from home
Home away from home

Steve
Your last picture "clip on fender by spear point" was originally spot welded on to the back side of the spear point. There were two of these on each point. When mine have come loose I've used JB Weld to reattach the bracket/stud to the back of the point, let it set for overnight and re installed. Hope this helps.

Guscha, How very inventive and original. I'm one that tends to over think things and get lost in the problem. This is a perfect example of the "KISS" (keep it simple stupid) approach that I so often overlook. Thanks for posting.

Re: Re-chroming

Steve
I've used 000 steel wool and kerosene to clean the chrome on all 4 of my cars. Kerosene has a very small amount of oil in it and it helps preserve the new bright clean chrome. I got this tip from an old time watch/clock jeweler that used small drops of kerosene to clean parts and after the kerosene evaporates a small amount of oil is left to lubricate the moving parts. Try it, you'll like it.

Look at this picture of two men standing in front of the hood. I would appear they could just slide backwards and sit on the hood.

Packard Henney Ambulance
Home away from home
Home away from home

Steve
I went to the Portland "Auto parts and gear head" swap meet yesterday (Friday). I was there for 5 hours and only got to the Portland International Raceway part of the swap meet. There was an additional part of the show at the Portland Exhibition Center, but there wasn't enough time left in me to go. I did however find this 1949 Packard Henney ambulance and got some pix's for your viewing pleasure.....It was not for sale

Steve
Hi Kevin AZ.......
I can't be of any help with your search, but wanted to thank you for trying to reunite the Packard and the paper work. I was alerted to the whereabouts of the Dealer that sold my 51 Packard 200 and have been searching to find more information. I know how it feels to make a "connection" and try to "complete a process".........Best regards,
Steve Fisher, packardguy53

Packard Dealerships
Home away from home
Home away from home

Steve
Okay, so I can't spell........ I misspelled the name of a Packard Dealership entry and have spent one year on and off trying to edit the entry. My question: How do you open the directory, and how do you edit an existing entry?? I can't find how I originally opened the directory and added the dealership. In searching for information on the dealer that sold my 1951 Packard 200, I found another reference to a Packard Dealer not yet listed. The misspelled dealer name should be spelled as:

Kiker's Packard.....Plainview, Texas

Not: Kickers Packard.

Edit: yes I did too look in the FAQ's and did all my due diligence before asking on the forum.
