Not so much getting them in as getting them out. Seem that they were put in from the bottom, maybe with the engine out of the car, some are cracked, some are pretty beat up. As for going in, the machinist, stated the you just adjust them by chuck them up in the drill press and take 1/2 a thousand
off of them.
Just was wondering with all the factory knowledge you gut have if there was an approved method of installation or just get them in
Thanks for the input
Will

Might be
does it need a fuel tank and is it running on a gal can gravity feed.
If you open the top of trans, can you see rusty gear bearing as if was in a flood
I was told it had a flood title
Like my car looked real good from 20ft, but as you get on it all the old lacquered finish is cracking. Mine got about 5 year in an unheated garage until it started flaking off. Goes in next year for the soda blast and new paint
Any rate, pretty car, wish you all the luck with it. They are fun to drive

Got an update from my guy
It seem that the car had a decal that was totally unreadable. The car got sold to someone in Georgia, before it left, I was told, that they stamped numbers in the frame that matched the existing title. The car needed a complete restoration, and I do not know if its going to be restored or turned into a hot rod. Either way, whoever is doing it will have a pile of money in it that they never get back
Just hope they love the car
Thanks for all the help

Is there an updated replacement studs with better metals in them than the original studs and were can I get them?
Thanks

So there is not any VIN on the frame or body. My Friend stated that his ford has numbers on the frame in 3 different places and you have to remove the body to see two of them

A friend of mine called and they stated that they someone show up at their shop with a 1938 110 Business Coupe that had been stored, for who knows how long, and it was part of an estate sale. They knew that I had and liked Packard's, so they called me and I went down to take a look. Need someone who wants a pretty formidable, not me
Any they had a question about the vehicle ID Plate. It seem that it is a paper decal that was painted over. Never heard of this, but I saw it and don't what to think. Their question is " are the VIN numbers located somewhere on the frame?"
Thanks
W James
