I had a broken one I took apart, see photos, I reassembled it, drilled out the old wire, soldered in a new one, patched it up with some JB weld, shrink wrapped the ends, or you cold try the liquid electrical tape

with the bake light so shabby, the little tabs/plungers thingys did show a little wear. so on one I attached some small springs so it would return to its original postion. they test fine, but my car is not yet ready for to give them the real test.

Thanks Kevin

Yes I took my fender skirts and shaped a piece to fit around them. then I fit it to the rear quarter wheel well. fits quite nice I think, now if I could only buy the correct size fender welting in Canada..........

Right rear quarter rust repair is complete, inside & out. moving on to the left. Ended up ordering some universal trunk seal from Metro molded rubber, could not find anything suitable locally

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. It does seem to be some sort of rubberized/spongy material.
A trip to an auto body supply house will be in order

anyone know what this rubber like material between the body panel and trunk pcs is called? and what would be a suitable replacement?

Maybe it’s not my place to say, but your throttle spring should attach to a small bracket. Enjoy seeing the progress on your project
