If the runtz fails… it’ll probably fry the gauge. Pretty sure mine did. If I had anything worth saving from my original sender I’d lob it over to you…. But yeah I made a mess of it. Actually…. I do have new floats on the end that are plastics and not cork I believe…. If you need them let me know.

Was that a clapped out 38/39 Packard in the new movie A Christmas Story Christmas? It was in the yard of the hillbilly next door I think. Looked like maybe a 7 passenger Jr. w/ side mount fenders. Sorry if this has been discussed already…. We just now watched it.

I’m assuming this is 12v considering the motor…. Look at what I did with a new sender and fuel gauge recently…. Might help. My homemade runtz failed and the gauge never would read right and bounced all over. The new stuff is excellent now.

Now if Cli55er can only find his childhood 55 Constellation last seen in the 90's...

Wow… didn’t think anyone would remember that. I lost track of it at the last person I called… some professor up in years IIRC and the trail went cold. And If my brain is working right… it was a 4 door Panama.

I did find the 47…. Asking price was/is astronomical and way out of blue book range…. Hopefully this grandson doesn’t get a sticker shock and can afford it. I got lucky with the 37.

Several others that my Grandpa had… some I’ve found and others not. I hope this youngin will get to feel what I felt when I purchased the 37 back.

Don’t forget the super cheap and very effective woodgrain vinyls on the market. I fool people at pretty much every show I go to. Slap some clear over the vinyl and bingo good enough for a driver and you save hundreds.

Took the Packard out in the snow today as the dealership took longer than expected on our daily driver, so the ride inhad lined up was no longer available.

Even in 30f weather with light blowing snow, she ran like a top, once warmed up. When she's cold in this weather, the carb is pretty laggy coming off a dead stop. But once warmed up it was just fine. Luckily the snow has been light, so they haven't started to salt the roads yet.

Sucks… cause it was actually a decent repop that took me a lot of effort to get made.

Def jelly of your rear window fitment.

FYI… no idea if this is a vendor that just places the order with quiet ride or if they have them in stock… my guess is vender and they don’t actually have a way to make it. I never heard from them either btw. I tried.
