Would b appreciated if u would give it a lookc. Thinking of doing a poster size blowup for my GarageMahal, if posable. Im sure the orig was done via Glass Plate. The ones i find on the internet have a low pixel #. Wondering if i can find an orig Ad if we could copy from it and get a good blowup.

Interesting PACKARD if u take a close look. They did a lot of playing with the colors on the car. Would assume from the instructions of the photographer Edward Steichen.

Interesting NOTE for u originality freaks. The Dist. photos show original Primary Wires and thus colors.

TAN with a RED TRACER.

Did they come in more than one color???

Years back i played with a MARMON 16 which had Lacquered Steel Gray Primary wires that matched the Laq. Steel Gray Spark Plug wires.

Agree to use a copper or alum clad gasket. Saw one of those Composite HG burn thru 2 cyl.

IF I WAS A BETTING MAN

this period photo
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Car-Photo-circa-1928-Packard-Roadster-392032-/372874118784
of a '28 shows the Side Mt Cover and the Top Boot done in a cloth type material. Sooooooooooooo im going to assume its the BURBANK 1220 Drab which is what Haartz might have replicated

BTW: ASSUME is the worst word in the english language

Believe the earliest ref to Topping from PACKARD is the 7th series/1930. Called out in the Parts Book - BURBANK 1220 Drab which is a Brownish Gray.
https://www.haartz.com/vintage-restorers-guide/glossary-z

Im betting there is some orig '28 Side Curtains out there somewhere.

Eric Haartz HAARTZ Topping Corp might know a little more. Ill give him a yell and see if he can fill the void on 1928.
