here is a list of things that were done over the last 6 months or so. alot of these things were done because the car had sat for 43 years, New plugs , plug wires, cap ,rotor ,condenser vacuum advance, new ignition switch new coil. .Rebuilt starter But im not so sure about that. The add says it was rebuilt .When the engine runs it runs around 165 to 170 degress at back of engine. I checked it with a temp gun. No pinging on hills. Seems to have good power. Also new 2/0 battery cables from battery to starter. new Groupe 2 napa battery with 675 CCA. Next time I get it running I will check the voltage going to the coil.

Thanks for the kind words. I installed a battery disconnect and made a battery cable to go from the disconnect to the starter. Also i took the car for about a 20 mile ride. Since I didn’t have my od cable hooked up I just wire tried the lever on the side of the trans so the overdrive would not work. I shut the engine off at my brothers house when I went to restart it the engine would not start. All the electric stuff in the engine compartment is new not sure what to try to get it to start easier. The engine was cranking but just wouldn’t start.we jumped it I drove home and put it in the garage.

There was a old repair on the back edge of 1 of the front fenders that had metal overlapped. Both the fender and the patch had rusted out again. I made a new piece of metal put a slight curve in it butt welded it and painted it.

I always like to look at things I find in cars I bought. The strangest thing I found Was A 5 album set of 78 rpm Christmas records That were under the seat of a 1948 Diamond T truck from the Ortlieb's brewery in Phila Pa. I found lots of other things but most were car related. Another thing I found was A write up about a peace sign.

I have only run the engine a few times and even after the fuel tank was cleaned and coated I keep getting rust in the fuel filter. so I replace the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump, It did not take much movement till the fuel line cracked in the rear wheel well area. I also took the bowl off the fuel pump cleaned that and made a new gasket. I also got another vacuum advance from a friend and installed that.
