Hey David, You would be most welcome but it is haul from Arizona.. I'm about an hour and fifteen northeast of ATL. Wish I had more car buddies around here. One thing I miss about the NE is the car culture. It's been my dream and nightmare. My first location was rejected since I'm in an environmentally sensitive area and I need a lot of land reserved for future septic. The location it is in now needed 17 trucks of fill and a ton of concrete as the slope in that areas is about 25%. I've written many IOU's to my wife! I wouldn't give up looking at options for working off the ground based on a ceiling height. I've had a couple friends with 10' ceilings that have purchased lifts and use them.. not optimal but it does help you a bit. Just this morning I was replacing the headlight bulb on our Honda. Of course, it slips out of my hand into the wheel well and here I am rolling around on the ground trying to get it out. Told myself this is why you want that lift and a second later it occurred to me I would never have put it on the lift to replace a headlight bulb in the first place so I would have been rolling around on the ground anyway! Thanks for the kind words Chris! It's been a bear. I was quoted some terrible prices for truss erection and framing. It was nice to be able to say thanks but no thanks I'll do it. Tools were clutch: Wall jacks, Genie Superlift and scissor lift. I had the same problem with my lots. My property is two lots that were never combined, took me a year to get everything to be a go.. I feel your pain. Don't do a thing right now if you don't have to; OSB has gone up almost 40% since I started. My roofer hit me with a $1,500 increase in just 1.5 months... it's legit, I looked it up. I have no doubt my build would be at least $20-30k more if I started from scratch today - with me doing most of it. When I talked to my roofer today he stated builders are paying over market and cash right now for materials. I will never do a project in an economy like this ever again but, storage units were hitting me just as hard. Mike

I'm wrapping up my garage build and hoping to get my roof on next week. Did all the framing myself and I'm spent... can't wait to take off my carpenter hat and put on the mechanic's hat. I built it the largest footprint that I could without going belly up on concrete. Ceiling is 12' to accommodate a Bendpak four post. I couldn't justify the extra cost in concrete for a two post. Bendpak however makes bridge jacks for their four post lifts. I plan on using it as a service and storage lift. This is a nice compromise IMO.

Just this week I got a quote from Passport Transport for moving one of my non-op cars from NJ to GA - $1400. Never used before but many speak highly. I couldn't use them due to access to the car. I'm going the uhaul route instead at $1680... ouch. Guess everyone is leaving there...

I first saw it back in March. When the price dropped over the summer I reached out in the event it ended up getting parted (had interest in a couple pieces for my restoration). From my vantage point it's missing the 356. From the pics I was sent: Wrong fan, no heat shield, no Max starter, ID boss in wrong location, wrong distributor location. However, it has a 356 head... I was unable to convince her the motor was wrong. Buyer beware if you go. It also seems to be missing the data tag on firewall. Sadly, think it would take a better one sacrificed to return it.

I'm not the SME here.. but I say your right. Looks to be without a vent window frame which I believe was '36 only.

Couple of suggestions for the ceramic filter... if you haven't given up on it.
May be worth putting in an ultrasonic cleaner. They work quite well. If you have a friend that reloads ammo might be worth a try, but I wouldn't buy one for that. Another suggestion would be to backwash the filter. I use to work for a couple companies that utilized a high pressure casting process for ceramics. The mold itself was a resin and high-purity silica with a very specific particle size distribution. Once cured it had very uniform porosity that would allow for dewatering of slurry and leave clay particles behind. After each casting cycle the mold would go through a cleaning of air and water that was pulsed through the mold pushing any residuals back out. So my suggestion would be to reverse the flow and run a solvent of your choice back through it for a while. Maybe use a peristaltic pump or something similar. If that works it would probably take a long time. But then again, I thought someone reproduced those.. Mike

I know it's an old laminate (any windshield you buy will be old too). Considering how difficult it is to replace ...maybe have a company like Safelite take a look?? I've seen some nasty bullseye hits repaired. Food for thought...
