There has been many statements that Eight's only came with Plated Shells. From the surface rust on this shell it appears it was originally painted. Believe its a repaint with the single striping. Red paint on louvers factory ?

Also ive seen that added instrument panel on few other '34s over the years. Was it a J.C. Whitney ?

Charlie was in the LA, Cal. area. Was the v12 guy in So Cal. Guessing he went to the PACKARD FACTORY in the Sky 30 years back. If i remember he got his training from working at a PACKARD Dealer.

BEST ONE TO GET IS
One u find that dose not leak coolant has enough meat for a cleanup and is price right.
When u find one suggest u do a pressure test before proceeding. U should b asking urself WHY IS IT 4SALE same with used cars

Great idea with the corks/washers and also the SP surfaces. Ive been doing that with washers/bolts nuts. Take them off for the final shoot. Ive found manyahead that has lost its torque because of paint buildup. Also those SP do not like paint.

Also, try a drive without that AIR SILENCER or as many people call it AIR CLEANER
