I've been to both, and as Kev noted there is a fence around Stonehenge that prevents viewers from getting up close. The motor museum is worthwhile.

One more quick question.
The car leaked out quite a bit of trans fluid over the cold winter months. (red fluid) Is there a sensor? Like, if it gets low, the car doesn't fire-up?
The car is one-hour away, so haven't tried any of the ideas yet. But appreciate any helpful tidbits!
Thanks

There is no sensor, so the car will run, it just may not move depending on how much fluid has been lost. Leakage from the front seal and oil pan is the most common problem.

Maybe 1955 stampings were started with a higher number sequence and later went back to the earlier numbers.
It would seem logical to assume that the numbers were stamped in sequence, but this may not have been the case, especially in 1955 with the change back to Packard produced bodies rather than Briggs.

I've been using the original scans to put information in an excel file then going through the parts book to add missing information such as additional applications and missing set numbers. Have done 200 so far. A lot of the earlier 1951-54 samples have applications for model numbers not shown on the cards.

Further to the descriptions on the sample cards, I exchanged a few PM's with patgreen and BigKev and volunteered to do a database in excel format that would show additional model and set numbers for each part number that don't show up on the cards. I've done about 110 so far and have sent a copy to BigKev for any comments that he might have before continuing.

The 1937 Packard Sales Folder illustrations for some of the 115C Models shows the bumper guards outboard of the trunk rack as on JW's car and the one in Australia.
I know that the sales folders are not always accurate for actual production since they are usually published in advance, but at least this lends some credibility to the way they are installed on the cars pictured.

The air dome is always on the outlet side of the pump and acts to smooth out the pulsations from the motion of the pump diaphragm.
Different orientations for the inlet and outlet are achieved by rotating the fuel or vacuum sections relative to the main body of the pump.

Michal,

The lower part of the pump with the dome is the fuel section.
the vacuum section is the upper part.

Hi Kev,

It's a parking brake indicator light switch for 1955-56 models.
