If that is the correct configuration in the Massey-Ferguson photo above then here is a buy it now ebay offering that appears to be the same.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1890319M91-New-Massey-Ferguson-Brake-Shoe-Spring-135-165-178-231-240-175-20D-/400802766594?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d51b4df02

There are several other ebay offerings that appear to be around the same size but with various regular hook ends also shown.http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=massey+ferguson+brake+parts&rmvSB=true&_sop=12&_fspt=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xmassey+ferguson+brake+spring.TRS0&_nkw=massey+ferguson+brake+spring&_sacat=0

The description on the Tractor Parts website says it's 3 15/16" long; is that the length of the spring alone or spring and hooks?

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my "new member" post, but I'm a mechanical moron. I just drive them; don't know anything about how they work or how to fix them.

Most of the time when a single dimension is all that is given for an extension spring they use the relaxed measurement from inside hook to inside hook -- or, in the case of special configured springs like that tractor spring, the distance between the points where the spring would attach.
