Kev,
You didn't notice if the gentleman that you got your parts from might possibly have a front spindle for a 56 or have a number for me to call him and check?
Thanks
Bill

Bill,

I am sure he would have what you are looking for, and he is very fair on his pricing.

Here is his contact information:

Dan Yocum
818-362-8255
Sylmar, CA

Just tell him that I referred you so he knows where you got his phone number from.

Thanks,

-Kev

I am pretty sure he might, but it would have to be rebuilt at they have been sitting out in the open for awhile. (out of the car).

What I was needing it for was to send it to ABS Brake in CA as he said he could better fit a disc kit up to it and this way I would not risk losing my much needed ones in shipment plus not having to disassemble the front end, not that I don't trust the mail

You can call Dan and see what he can do for you. I would think you are going to need the steering arm also. As that is going to be needed to space the disc out far enough.

Well today the UPS guy dropped off my rattle cans of Metallic Bikini Blue from Tower Paint, and also the Energy Suspension swaybar brackets that I ordered from AutoZone online.

So here some of the pics, first one is what the good OEM bracket still on my car (the other side is a train wreck), seconf one is what the new bracket setup will look like with a oem inner bracket shown for comparison.

I hope to get some work done this weekend on the car, and get the other rims demouted, and off to the blaster.

Also the last picture is what the correct rim for my end of the production line '54 Clipper. Notice the hub hole is smaller and has a raised lip. This picture was after it was media blaster and sprayed with some primer.

Well today I took all the rims that still need to be media blasted to the local tire store to get demounted. $10 per tire (includes disposal fee).

The Baster is closed on the weekend, so hopefully I can drop them off on Monday.

I decided to paint the one rim I already had blasted and primed. So I sprayed it this morning with the rattle can Bikini Blue I ordered from Tower Paint (first coat).

At first I was a little worried due to the much darker color when compared to the firewall. I guess even the hidden paint areas have faded or where painted a different color sometime in the past.

Where compared to the paint chips and also a section of the door behind the trim that I buffed with some compound, it look spot on to the rim color. Plus my wife likes the darker color better.
